Monday-Students need to use each word in a sentence: from, use, get, help, little. The sentences are due on Friday.
Tuesday-Read to or with your child.
Wednesday-Math (Sheet will come home on Wednesday) This is due on Thursday.
Thursday-Read to or with your child.
Friday-Read to or with your child.
Wednesday is Back to School Night at 6:00.
Friday is an early dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 1:00.

Welcome to First Grade
I am looking forward to working with your child this year. I will need your help to make sure that homework assignments are completed and turned in on the due date.
For the month of September, you should be working on the Monthly Homework Calendar. Remember to complete 3 activities per week. This will be due on October 1. If you have questions or concerns call me or e-mail me at mjenkins@culpeperschool.org.

Homework 1/24-1/28
Monday- Study the words for the story The Same As You. every, made, mother, of, was
Write each of the 10 spelling words three times each on the paper provided.
Tuesday- Spelling words are due.
Wednesday- Write each of the 5 vocabulary words from the story The Same As You in a sentence.
Thursday- Practice Spelling Test
Friday- 1. oral vocabulary test on the words from the story. 2. spelling test 3. 5 sentences due
On Wednesday and Friday we will have P. E.
Don't forget to be working on your 100's Day projects which are due February 4 and 5.

Study the words for the story The Red Stone Game. after, as, call, laugh, something
Write each of the 10 spelling words 3 times each on the paper provided.
On Tuesday the spelling words are due.
Write each of the five vocabulary words from The Red Stone Game in a sentence.
On Thursday there will be a practice spelling test. If students spell all 10 of the words correctly then he/she will not have to take the test on Friday.
On Friday there will be an oral vocabulary test on the five vocabulary words from The Red Stone Game. Sudents will also need to turn in their five sentences. There will be a spelling test for students not scoring 100 on Thursday's test.
On Wednesday we will have P. E.
On Friday there will be no Resources.

Wednesday: Jersay Day
Thursday: Twin Day
Friday: AGR Spirit Day
Just a reminder that students will have a winter break beginning on December 23 and ending on January 2. Students return to school on January 3.
